After 10 years of service with RMIT and the School of Education, Rachel Patrick has announced that she will be retiring in June.

Rachel came to us from Whitireia Community  Polytechnic (New Zealand) and has been teaching into both the undergraduate and postgraduate ITE programs in the school since her arrival.

Rachel also took on the role of HDR Coordinator and supervised many of her own HDR students to successful completion.

Rachel carries a keen interest in research herself, covering  topics such as educational policy, social justice, “non-indigenous” studies, and teacher identity, feminist and post-structural theories.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Rachel for her work in the school and wish her all the best in her retirement. I am sure those knitting needles will be put to work quite frequently.

Rachel’s last day with us will be Friday 15th June.
