Last week saw the successful launch of the FOR1300 Club. Led by the School of Education, this network is a dynamic, research-informed knowledge leader for the strategic orientation and promotion of scholarship at RMIT and is a growing indicator to the sector of the importance RMIT places upon scholarship and evidence-based teaching and learning practice. The 1300 Club will provide a platform for the discussion, collaboration, and feedback of scholarly pursuits in learning and teaching across all disciplines, including mutual research interests; competitive grants; publications and peer recognition.
The launch was a great opportunity to network with old friends and a chance to make new connections. We heard from a united University leadership about the importance of scholarship in this area. Martin, Belinda Tynan, Denise Cuthbert and Jeff Brooks led the event with style. Hearing their strong commitment sent a powerful message.
It was terrific to see so many SoE staff at the event.
Whether or not you attended the event, if you engage in SoTL we invite you to complete our short survey and contribute to the 1300 Club’s next steps.
